Obwegeser-Dal Pont法を適用した骨格型不正咬合者39症例を経験した。症例は男性16名, 女性23名で, やや女性が多かった。手術対象者は骨格型下顎前突症が大半をしめていた。手術時年齢は16歳から28歳までで, 男女とも20歳前後に集中していた。手術時間は120分から290分であり, 平均は209分であった。出血量は105mlから1,961mlまでであり, 平均は549mlであった。女性では比較的骨が柔らかく手術操作がやりやすい印象があり, 手術時間は短く, 出血量も少なかった。手術による下顎歯列弓の移動は, 対象症例が骨格型下顎前突症が主であったことから, 後方に移動するものが殆どであった。移動範囲は後方へ0mmから19mmであり, なかでも, 8mmから10mm程度後方移動するものが多かった。なお, 前方への移動も1例にみられ, それはPogonionを前方へ15mm移動した症例であった。その前方移動例を除いた術前のoverjetは-10.0mmから3.0mmに分布し, -5.0mm付近への集中がみられた。術後矯正終了時のoverjetは1.5mmから4.5mmの範囲にあり, 3.0mm前後に集中していた。術前のoverbiteは-6.0mmから9.0mmに分布し, 0から3.0mmのものが多かった。術後矯正終了時のoverbiteは0.5mmから4.0mmとなっていた。以上のごとく, 本手術法を適用した骨格型不正咬合者の術後矯正終了時のoverjet,
