The algorithm was based on theoretical radiative transfer simulation and optimized for accurate retrieval of aerosol properties over the northeastern Asian seas. Error analyses showed that our algorithm is accurate enough to study seasonal and regional variation of aerosol property. We utilized the advantage of 1-km resolution for precise cloud screening. It was demonstrated that various kinds of cloud including thin broken cloud are appropriately excluded from the retrieval with our cloud screening procedure using multi-spectral and textual characterization. A first result showed an interesting phenomenon of transport of mineral dust aerosol from the continent to Japan., 紀要類, 論文, Article, 1083249 bytes}, pages = {143--155}, title = {Remote Sensing of Aerosol Properties Using NOAA AVHRR Data over the Northeastern Asian Seas : Development of Retrieval System}, year = {2002} }
