内容記述 | Thermoelectric powers (TEP) of liquid Cu-Sb and Ag-Sb alloy systems have been measured. TEP decreases rapidly when Sb is added to liquid Cu or Ag, but on further addition of Sb TEP first increases to a maximum peak at about 40 at.%Sb, and thereafter decreases steadily. Comparison of the present results for liquid Cu or Ag-Sb alloy systems and previous results for other Cu or Ag-polyvalent metal alloy systems, for which TEP decreases monotonically from Cu or Ag to polyvalent metal, suggests that the maximum peak of TEP is a characteristic feature in liquid Cu-Sb or Ag-Sb alloy systems. This maximum peak of TEP could not be explained by the nearly free electron model based on a random mixture of atoms in the liquid state. | |||||||||
