内容記述 | The microstructural aspects of hydride precipitation in titanium are studied by electron microscopy in the temperature range from 300 to 490 K. Due to a large difference in specific volumes of the metal and the hydride, the α-matrix around hydride precipitates is distorted elastically and/or plastically. On cooling, dislocations are generated around hydrides, and during dissolution on heating such dislocations glide back to the respective hydrides to result in partial annihilation ; a considerable fraction of dislocations are left behind after complete dissolution . A large hysteresis in temperature of precipitation and dissolution is believed to be associated with the plastic work to generate and to move dislocations, i.e. the plastic accommodation effect. | |||||||||
