内容記述 | About 774 lignite samples were collected and 459 of them were studied for germanium content. The germanium was determined spectrophotometrically with phenylfluorone. Cluley had used gum arabic for dispersing germanium compound of phenylfluorone. But, when gum arabic was used as dispersing agent, particles of the precipitate aggregated with one another in shorter time and changed its absorbancy readings. Accordingly, reliable results could hardly be obtained. The authors used polyvinylalcohol instead of gum arabic. When the latter was used, the resulted solution appeared clear and could not be distinguished from true solution with naked eye. Absorbancy readings at 503 or 505mμ also did not show any change for about 3 hours. In nearly all cases, top and bottom layers of a lignite bed show the highest concentration of germanium. Also it was found that xyloidal sample had accumulated more germanium than attrital sample did. The highest concentration of germanium in lignite which was found in those coalfield was 357 ppm in ashless coal. | |||||||||||||
